The word “Gaudium” is a Latin word which means JOY. With the intent to bring joy to the less privileged, especially those with little or no access to adequate medical services in Nigeria, Gaudium Medicals was established.
Gaudium Medicals (Gaudium) is a medical laboratory examination and diagnostic center which is intentionally located at Aba-ode, new felele extension, soka Ibadan, as Aba-ode can aptly be described as a huge village because of its dynamism. It is a developing area harboring approximately 25,000 residents of different classes.
The need for the center arose due to the numerous medical complications arising from the absence of hospitals or/and poor state of public health centers within the area.
Before the existence of Gaudium Medicals in November, 2020 residents of the village went through a lot of difficulty accessing a decent diagnostic center. The only available or nearest diagnostic center was 25km away from Aba-ode with the roads being dilapidated making the journey for those requiring diagnostic services cumbersome and exhausting.
Consequently, Gaudium with the help of BNO foundation was able to raise over 20 million naira which was used to secure a permanent site for Gaudium Medicals and also procure some ultra-modern machines, reagents and consumables to provide prompt and quality medical laboratory services to the people of the area.

In the first 9 months of operations, Gaudium has impacted over eight hundred lives through the provision of a good quality diagnostic center closer to the people of Aba-Ode and environs rendering services at a highly subsidized fee.
